Ashstar stepped out onto the High Rock, the view becoming a familiar sight. The black and white leader felt at home on top of the rock, but it was still crazy to her that she was the one sitting on top of it. Honestly, she didn't think she'd ever get used to the fact that she was the leader of SkyClan.

Today was the day of ceremonies, one of her favourite aspects of her role, and not even the chilly day could dampen her mood. With one jet black paw in front of her, she lifted her head and began her meeting call. "SkyClan!" she yelled. "Please gather below High Rock for ceremonies!"

[/dohtml]

[dohtml]<text style="text/css">

It was "srs bisnes" indeed, for Ashstar had called upon her two deputies, Wolfstrike and Endlesssummers, along with the medicine cat Peppernose to discuss recent events. She had wanted to talk to them all sooner, especially about Elkpath's death as the murder of a clanmate was a crime they needed to figure out the perpetrator of, but her haunted memories prevented her from speaking out. She had been too afraid to relive the night of the attack, as losing a life had severely impacted her in ways she didn't realise she could be.

However, the leader was getting better and she wouldn't be able to avoid it anymore. It needed to be done. She sat patiently near the mouth of the leader's den, waiting for the high positions to arrive. Hopefully they wouldn't be too much longer.

[dohtml]<text style="text/css">

Still visibly shaken from her attack, and tired from the experience of losing a life, Ashstar made her way up High Rock. She wouldn't be making any announcements today, however she planned to bring some positivity to the Clan through ceremonies. It was one of her favourite parts of being a leader- especially when peforming warrior ceremonies. Excited apprentices getting their warrior name was a wonderful sight to see, and despite everything that had happened she was not going to let that get taken away from her.

"SkyClan!" she called out, voice hoarse. "Gather below the High Rock for ceremonies!" The black and white molly then took a seat, not wanting to stand up for too long. The leader focused on what ceremonies she was going to perform. It calmed her.

/if you require a ceremony please post in the thread linked here
and fill in the form. the ceremony will then be performed in this thread.

[/dohtml]

[dohtml]<text style="text/css">

If there was one thing people knew about Ashstar, it was that she was far too trusting, especially of her own Clan. She was the leader, sure, but SkyClan had a cloud of disaster that surrounded leadership and really... she should be more careful. Ashstar was terrified of the idea that she might be a target, but her faith in her Clan offset this fear with trust. Nobody in her Clan would want to hurt her, right?

In fact, the idea that someone from her Clan would attack her didn't even cross her mind as she set off for another solo border patrol. It wasn't completely her job to do these anymore, now no longer a deputy of warfare but a leader, however it calmed her. It calmed her stresses and gave her time to think. The only other time she managed to feel completely at rest was with Endlesssummers, but he wasn't with her right now.

Making her way through the territory, she didn't even realise there might be a slight chance of something going wrong. Why would it? It was a cold but restful day. ShadowClan wouldn't dare invade, and none of the other Clans would want to attack them. It was the perfect day, and nothing would go wrong.

Except... it would.

[/dohtml]

[dohtml]<text style="text/css">

Ashstar crept up the highrock, mixed emotions dancing around inside her. She should be happy, for she was going to announce what everyone had been waiting for- but her other news set her on edge, saddening her. Recieving that message from StarClan had been quite a shock for the black and white molly, and she didn't know how the rest of the Clan would take it. Ashstar sighed, she only had to remain confident and think about the other things which she would say.

Who would be the new deputies? That was certainly a difficult question that Ashstar had thought long and hard over, and she knew that her choices may not be well recieved. However, it was for the best interest of her Clan, and she knew that whoever she picked would do a good job regardless. Taking the final step to the top of the highrock, Ashstar took a deep breath in and shouted loudly, "SkyClan! Please gather beneath the highrock, I have urgent news!""

[/dohtml]
