This may be the wrong place to post this, but seeing as how the Hogwarts board is still under construction, I'll just post this here. I see a lot of Hogwarts threads. Would anyone like to plot with me?

<div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 11px; letter-spacing: 1px; line-height: 115%">[/dohtml]The House was a rumor that Larken decided to seek out of desperation. It was described as a small manor upon a hill, overlooking desolate land that was swarmed with The Enemies. It was considered to be a fatal pursuit only attempted by the most desperate of individuals. So when it came down to finding Landon, consider Larken to of been profoundly and utterly desperate. He had disappeared nearly a month ago with a stranger who spoke highly of The House. That was the only clue that Larken was acting upon, leaving familiar territory in search for her brother who had never been separated from her before. And for a rather good reason.
It took her two weeks. Two weeks of walking through foreign land, infested with many of The Enemies, until she stumbled upon it. The House sat upon the hill like a crown sat upon a royal head; a statement that both intimidated her but offered a glimmer of hope among the danger that surrounded her. Like everything else in the world, it was decrepit, the white paint severely worn and the wood nearly rotting. It looked as if one bad storm and it would completely fall apart like a house of cards, but there it was, still standing as rain poured down. Larken just had to cross the field. Crouched behind a tree, she waited for the the best possible moment.
Crossing through the land and arriving safely inside the remaining structure seemed like an impossible feat. Even more of an impossible feat for Landon to have accomplished, given his state. Regardless, Larken was determined to continue forth. She had to know for sure whether Landon was inside, even if doing so meant being killed. And so she continued on slowly and meticulously, eyes scanning her surrounding while her feet softly trekked through the grass. The downpour, though reducing visibility, helped mask any sounds that she made unintentionally. Just a few more minutes and she would be on the porch, safe from both The Enemies and the storm. And, if she was lucky, reunited with her brother, Landon.
But once inside, her heart dropped in disappointment. She didn't have to look around the home to know that her brother was not inside. He made everyplace his home, and this barren structure was not made his. The only sounds that reached her ear were her own, and the rain that continued to pour down on The House. Larken brought some of the rainwater inside with her, leaving a trail of it behind her as she walked through the home. Each room was nearly empty, containing a few random pieces of old furniture, piles of trash, and dead rodents. Even though it was not out of the ordinary, it still continued to disappoint her.
Until she reached the basement. Canned foods, and various weapons, lining the walls and taking up space in the center. There were tools, blankets, and other items that would serve useful in the hellhole of a world that she called home. She had never seen such a supply, and given that no one was around, she decided to take what luck had offered her. Grabbing a can of vegetables, she plunged her knife into the metal and cut it open, now hasty with intense hunger. When was the last time she had eaten? A good few days, maybe even a week. Food tended to be scare, especially when traveling. She was nearly starving.
But then a noise caught her attention, causing her to drop the can of food and swing the knife out in front of her. "Landon?" The door to the basement creaked open, revealing a silhouette that most certainly was not Landon. She dropped to the ground and began crawling across the floor behind the rows of supplies that managed to hide her from the stranger as they entered further into the room. Maybe it was the man that Landon left with. Or maybe it was someone far more dangerous. Someone who would take one look at Landon and decide to end him. People always did say that there was no use for Landon to live in the hellhole.
