It was the early break of dawn when the two brothers decided to set out on their adventure. After the trip to the Mother mouth they realized that they wanted to see more of the world again, they were once adventures of the forest. Adventures of RiverClan, exploring every inch of the territory. Yet as of late they fell into a routine. A patrol routine, they would patrol, eat, train, patrol, sleep. Maybe they deserved some slack, missing ONE dawn patrol wouldn't be the end of the world right?
They crept their way out of camp trying not to make a sound and sped of into the forest.
They never really explored the River that much anymore. There was some rule Pyrestar had about swimming in it right? Cats weren't allowed to swim since the flood...The flood had been so long ago they wondered if their leader even remembered that it wasn't allowed. They both exchanged mischievous glances."You thinking what I'm thinking?" "Absolutely."
The two twins disappeared into a bush just off the coast of the river. "Dude, its still here!"
Eastcreek exclaimed excitedly. The two brothers pulled what seemed like a half hollow log from the bush. They looked over it excitedly. They had found this log during their apprentice days. It floated on the water and they would always get in it and float down the current along with the river. They had forgotten about it until now. "Lets see if it still works!"
Westriver nodded and the two pushed it gently into the water. They gave it a few seconds. It didn't seem like it was sinking. "What do you say, brother? Wanna ride the river again?"
Westriver trilled and hopped into the long. Eastcreek didn't even answer. He jumped into the long and it slowly began floating along RiverClan territory. They wondered if the patrols might see them, perhaps they would just think it was a floating log.
