The final moon was taking forever to complete to Rosekit. Three more days and she'd finally be an apprentice. It was a dream come true! The tabby kit was tucked neatly away in the corner of camp, her tail curling over her paws to seem as lady-like as possible. Sprawled out sun bathing would require her to be alone-- and the bustle of camp was most certainly not alone. Still, she enjoyed the beating sun and the breeze that came along with it. Leaf fall was nearly there, the child could smell it.

A low purr rumbled in her throat at the warmth seeping into her thick fur and the loud but hardly audible chatter of the clan. Bits and pieces of talk were picked up, but nothing of any interest. Some elder had gotten ticks again and another cat brought back a fat hare. It was as if these cats gods had given them a break, to which Rosekit was thankful for. No cat was appeared to be missing, bellies were full, and all was well. It was rather boring but she was thankful nonetheless.

It wasn't often Sunpath talked to kits. It wasn't as though she had a dislike for them or anything- it was more of the fact whenever she was near one it reminded her of the kits she never got to talk with. The kits that were hers but she never got to see. Quite honestly, she was a bit surprised she had even let them stick with the father. They were her children after all, so why weren't they with her of all cats? Something definitely seemed flawed in her opinion. And it wasn't even like she was incapable of taking care of kits. Hell- it was sort of just job to take care of the clan, so how could she not be able to take care of a few kits? It really did seem heartless sometimes how she hadn't even gotten to keep her kits, regardless the fact she had been the one to give birth to them unlike the father. He had only been the donor.

But the flame point knew she would have to clear those personal problems from her head before approaching Rosekit. It would be just cruel after all to take out her personal feelings on a kit. Especially an innocent one who was far from the real problem at paw. Granted, she knew better than to really call the other a kit- seeing as they would be an apprentice within days of now, but perhaps she would all the same just for fun.

"Well hello there Rosekit, enjoying the last days of your kithood before you have to step things up and become an apprentice?" Sunpath would greet, her voice jokingly pointing out the fact the other female seemed quite relaxed in their spot. She had the feeling the younger feline couldn't wait to become an apprentice to get some excitement into their lives, but she half felt they would just find something new to complain about rather than just complaining they were bored all the time.

Her doe eyes opened at the voice of another, but slowly. No lady needed to look startled, even if she was. The tabby's spine rolled into a sitting position as her head bobbed respectfully to the deputy. "Yes, but once I am an apprentice I think it'll be much more excitable. It's a shame there's only one medicine cat apprentice too. I would've loved to be Peppernoses apprentice." Rosekit mewed with a voice made of honey, deciding to plant the seed of thought in somecat of power.

She'd happily play the role of a medicine cat if it meant she was able to work with poisons. The thought thrilled her! While the she-kit would devote her energy to helping the clan, she could kill those of power in enemy clans by poisoning their prey or other ways.
